Metropolitan Area Economic Forecast

The Perryman Group's long-term projections indicate that all of the state's metropolitan statistical areas are likely to see employment expansion over the next thirty years. While economic activity and growth are concentrated in the state's largest metropolitan areas, smaller population centers are also expected to see gain. The Perryman Group's latest long-term projections are highlighted in this issue.

The Northwest Texas Region

The Northwest Region is home to 30 counties and two metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs)--the Abilene MSA and Wichita Falls MSA. With a population of approximately 562,758, the area represents 1.85% of the state's total population.
