Texas continues to lead the way in economic growth, with most of the expansion occurring in the largest population centers. This issue of The Perryman Report & Texas Letter highlights the five-year economic forecast for the state's metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs).

The Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) along with 13 counties make up the Gulf Coast Region. With approximately 7.5 million residents, the area represents 24.92% of the state's total population.
