Texas, Our Texas: An Assessment of Economic Development Programs and Prospects in the Lone Star State
Report Published on November 25, 2002In a remarkable odyssey of almost two centuries, a rugged and remote frontier outpost named for one of its many native tribes has been transformed into a major center of high technology and international commerce. Canary in the Coal Mine
Column Published in syndication July 19, 2023Canaries were historically used in coal mines to provide an early warning of dangerous gases. The CNBC rankings, where Texas continues to fall, should be viewed in a similar light.
