Real gross product is forecast to expand at a 2.89% annual pace, resulting in a gain of almost $70.0 billion over the next 30 years. The manufacturing industries are expected to contribute the most to this growth with an increase of about $18.6 billion from 2024 to 2054, followed by the real estate industries, with an increase of just under $8.345 billion over the same time period.
Wage & salary employment is projected to grow by approximately 200,700 net new positions, an increase of 1.33% per year from 2024 to 2054. The largest source of job growth over the next 30 years is projected to occur in the health and social services industries (nearly 30,300 new jobs) and the accommodation and food services industries (roughly 28,600 new jobs).
